The Mission of the National Council of State Boards of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (NCSB) is to facilitate the role of state licensure boards through communication and education.

  • Proposed Bylaws Changes - Please review the documents describing proposed NCSB bylaws changes prior to the 2011 Conference scheduled in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 13 - 15.  These bylaw revisions will be circulated and voted on at the Corporate Business Meeting in Las Vegas on October 14, 2011.

Our Purpose

  • To facilitate communication and interaction among state boards concerning licensure
  • To promote the protection of consumers
  • To stimulate interest in and discussion of issues pertaining to licensure boards, and
  • To provide a forum for discussion

Our Goals

  • To promote more uniform national standards for licensure
  • To provide information or services to related professional organizations
  • To aid licensing boards in fulfilling statuatory, professional, and ethical obligations, and
  • To to advocate the passage of licensure statutes
